Leader: God looked down on God’s creation. All around was brokenness;
the world was crying out in pain and suffering. Hope and peace and love
were drowned out by the tears of the people.
All: And God said, “I have a plan.”
Leader: On a glorious night filled with the song of angels, a baby
was born. Hope would flood the earth; love would grow in people’s
hearts; and the seed of peace would be planted among the nations.
All: Jesus, our Emmanuel, brings to us compassion, mercy,
and kindness all meant to heal our wounds.
Leader: So live your lives as Jesus taught, spreading good will to
everyone you meet!
